We wouldn’t think of smoking, if we were you. A false fire alarm costs you about CHF 2’200.
Nope, food or alcolholic drinks are now allowed in the rooms! Just enjoy the public space downstairs.
Yup, the reception is operated 24/7.
Things happen, that’s normal, but in case you break something you’re liable.
Please make sure your room is closed properly and the lockers are locked up since we can’t be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

Maybe fancy staying longer? Just come down early and let us know! Tomorrow morning your bed could already be sold to someone else, so make sure you tell us in time.
We offer a fully equipped kitchen for all our guests during their stay. Just keep in mind that you mark your food with the designated forms since unassignable food will be disposed. As with all shared facilities: Keep it clean and tidy up the place after use. In order to prevent the triggering of the fire alarm, we ask you to use the hood. Easy, right?
Did you check the Gym located in the basement? It’s free of charge but please only go full beast-mode with clean shoes and keep the gym rules in mind. The hostel is not liable for any harm or damage.
Do you have some spare time in Basel before setting off? Deposit your luggage in our dedicated luggage room next to the reception. We also offer extra lockers for rent, please ask the reception.
All your precious belongings can be left safely at the reception. The hostel is not responsible for lost valuables, money or anything similar which was left in the room. Lost keys and key cards, soiling and damages will be invoiced and have to be payed immediately.
Need some fuel for the day? Enjoy our ‘all you can eat’-breakfast buffet from 06.30 a.m. – 11.00 a.m. Get your ticket before you enter the breakfast-section next to our lobby.
Generosity, yup that’s our thing. That’s why we offer free tea and water all day to all our guests. A variety of drinks is available at the reception. To consume alcoholic beverages you must be older then 18.
Some urgent stuff coming from Amazon or your mother? We offer you to use our address to receive parcels and letters. Use our address as well as your name, there will be a charge of CHF 1 for each letter and CHF 5 for a parcel.
Office and Co-working
Some work needs to be done while you’re on your journey? Poor being, but we got you covered. There are always private offices as well as a meeting room for up to 10 people at your disposal and also feel free to use our lobby as your co-working space. Printing services are also available at the reception.
Some dirty laundry to wash? Just use our washing and dryers, all the infos are available at the reception.
Of course there’s free internet access throughout the house with no password needed. It is legally compliant to use and if you don’t have a device to use the internet, there’s always the surf-station in the lobby.
There are lot of things to do in Basel. In case you’re not already aware, you can always find lots of infos about possible activities or events in town on our info wall next to the entrance. Or just hit up our staff for further informations.
Got that crave for a decent noodle-pot? We offer a variety of food and drinks in our shop at the reception which is opened 24/7. Convenient, right?
Hygiene goes always first! It’s only allowed to use the beds with linen. If the provided linen are not used, we will charge a bad linen fee.
